Snakes and Lattes on Bloor West is a Board Game Cafe, and, if you don’t know what that is, it’s a great spot where you can go play one (or many more) of their over 2,500 board games!
I recommend that you book a table in advance, because it gets very busy, because it’s totally a great place! If you don’t have a reservation, it’s still worth walking-in, people are always coming and going. They bill you $5 per person for the table, and you can stay for as long as you like. There are shelves all around the space that you can choose to play, and if you like a game a lot, you can even purchase it to take home.
The menu is very limited, but they do have a few gluten-free, vegan desserts that are good. I enjoyed the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, which was more chewy than crunchy and had a great sweetness to it. I do wish they served organic main courses and snacks, even nachos and salsa would be great and keep me there longer! (Neal Brothers Blue Corn flax seed tortillas and organic salsa would be my pick, but open to anything!) Beware if you have a nut allergy as they do serve bowls of nuts, and there could even be traces of them on the games.
I do hope you go and try Snakes and Lattes because it’s a great place during the day or for a night out!
