Cinnamon Bun
Cozy Window Seat

My Brother's Donut

Tori’s Bakeshop is an eco-friendly, all-natural organic bakery that offers dairy-free, egg-free, casein-free and refined sugar-free treats and they source as much as they can locally too! It took me a while to visit this great spot because it’s pretty far for me to travel, but it was really worth going there!!

The interior is very cool and the light fixtures are made from Mason Jars and the ones over their counter are made from large whisks. The staff are super friendly and wear neat uniforms and bow ties. There are a few tables and a nice little space for at least four people in the window with a few pillows on a bench (which is where we sat).

Because we were with my little brother, he chose first. It was hard for him to decide because everything looked so good, but he settled on a vanilla donut with icing and sprinkles. I got a cheese and chive biscuit (scone), and they even heated it up for me. Remember, this cheese is daiya – not really cheese! I really loved it and it would be great alongside a nice bowl of soup or chili. We also ordered a spelt cinnamon bun, which they also heated up, and it was so so so good. My little brother devoured around half of it (and most of the icing!) before I even had a bite! They have a great drink menu, hot and cold drinks including organic syrups to make their own pop (we bought a raspberry one to try at home!). We got to use actual cups and plates so there was no waste, although we bought a cinnamon bun to go for my father, and next time we’ll have to take our own container for it, so we don’t need to take their little eco box. Next time I go I will definitely be trying their BLT with Coconut Ba”con” (con bacon, like not bacon, get it?), their shortbreads and cookies and their cupcakes also looked really good too.

We also couldn’t resist buying one of their organic gingerbread house making kits. It comes with everything you need to build a successful house at home! I hope it works out, and hope my brother doesn’t eat it all before we finish building!

I hope you all get a chance to try Tori’s Bakeshop. There is no reason to eat refined sugars and other bad things when you can have the same treats but way better for you! Remember that what you put in your body matters.
