People often ask what I look for in a restaurant. Well, look no further, here it is! (I know there are very few that qualify, and I still eat at many that only accomplish some of these things, but I hope more restaurants can adapt to my list for all of our sakes and eating enjoyment!)
1. completely GMO-free
2. uses as much organic as possible
3. has a varied menu, but everyone knows where every ingredient comes from, or can easily find out
4. takes reservations
5. doesn’t promote healthy food and farm-to-table, unless it really is healthy and farm-to-table
6. free filtered water, and refills often
7. does not carry any pop unless made in house from all organic/natural good, real ingredients
8. does not use plastic straws and other disposables, and if they do, are compostable
9. promotes organic farmers on their menus and lets us know where to get their interesting products
10. can accommodate or try to accommodate nut-allergies, and other allergies
11. offers vegan and no white sugar desserts
12. does NOT serve Heinz ketchup with their local, organic or sustainable food – because then it’s really not anymore, in my opinion
13. has vegetarian and vegan options – and not just salads and side dishes!!
14. service with a smile
