Village Juicery On Yonge!

Village Juicery opened their first location on Euclid Street, just North of College and have been serving great juice for a while (click here for an instagram shot from their original opening). Their juice is carried at many retailers and food shops around Toronto, and they added a location in Roncesvalles Village last year. They just recently opened a new location on Yonge Street, just North of Eglinton at 2409 Yonge Street, which is super convenient for me since I go to high school just down the street. It’s great that this neighbourhood is starting to offer many more healthy juice and food options, and I look forward to more!

Village Juicery’s Yonge Street location is a small space with a big fridge, fully stocked across from their hot and cold drinks on tap (which is very cool!). I love that they have a couple of bar stools and a small table by the window, so you can sit down and enjoy your drink with a friend or family, especially great in the winter when we don’t want to be outside drinking a cold green juice!

In addition to their packed fridge with bottled juices, nut milks, large salads and their “breakfast jars” (which are essentially a chia pudding topped with fruit and nuts – I didn’t try one, but they looked beautiful), Village Juicery has a menu of other options on tap. It’s hanging above their bar, and you’ll likely be tempted to get all of the drinks. They offer a daily kombucha and cold brewed coffee, coffees and signature hot drinks which are awesmazing on a cold day. I enjoyed a hot Chaga Apple Cider, which was delicious and warming, but if you don’t like sweet, this will not be the drink for you, but you might like the drink that my mother loves, the Ginger Fireball, which includes turmeric, ginger, orange, pineapple, and cayenne! My little brother loved his Sun Potion Hot Cocoa made with almonds, cashews, Sun Potion Anandamide (raw cacao + tonic herbs), Chocosol cocoa powder, raw honey, vanilla bean and sea salt. I have not tried their cold kombucha yet, but once the weather heats up, I will be enjoying a glass, or many glasses. I have to mention that they sell Tori’s Bakeshop cookies, which are all organic and vegan, and definitely delicious.

If you stop in, which I recommend doing, you can also grab a chocolate bar, cookbooks, crackers, kale chips and more from their shelves. Village Juicery on Yonge is like a healthy variety store – go and get yourself some good stuff!

Did I mention they offer samples so you can decide what’s right to order for you? Their hot chocolate is excellent too, although I decided on the Chaga Cider!
