Do you love caramels? Ever wish that there was an organic and non-dairy version of these classic treats? The wait is over! JJ’s Cocomels are made with organic ingredients and have the perfect caramel taste and texture, and I mean PERFECT!
I first tried Cocomels at the CHFA in September (see review of the show here) and IMMEDIATELY fell in love with them. My favourite flavour was the Vanilla, since it had a creamy taste and texture unlike any candy I had tried before (and I’m not much of a sweets person at all!).
When my family traveled to Arizona this past winter break, we found an Espresso flavour that they don’t have in Canada, as well as chocolate-covered versions of all of their flavours that were exceptional! As you can probably imagine, we decided to try them all, and we conducted a taste test. My friend Mason and I preferred the espresso, while my brother Andy, sister Joey, and friends Jacqui and Ryan thought the vanilla was the best. The sea salt was a close second for most of us, but we would all eat them all, and my friend Mason doesn’t like caramel, if you ask his mom!
Upon returning home with a TON of the chocolate-covered Cocomels, we have continued to enjoy them and look forward to the day that they will be available in Canada – at least we still have the awesmazing uncovered versions! If you are in Toronto, they carry them at Fiesta Farms, and likely other health food stores!
