Heavenly Organics was founded in 2005 with the intention of providing ethical jobs to people in conflict-stricken areas of India. They take advantage of the amazing varieties of honey that can only be found in that region. They have a commitment to using only the best organic ingredients, and their company story is quite amazing. It’s important to remember that not all honey is the same, and in fact, not all RAW honey is created equal either. Heavenly Organics sums it all up pretty quickly right here. We need our bees, and although raw honey is a superfood, make sure you know where it comes from and what it is supporting – or not supporting. I have a thing for bees, you should too!
I first saw and met the people from Heavenly Organics at the CHFA trade show in 2015, and immediately fell in love with their mint chocolate honey patties. Unfortunately, we could not find them in any stores in Toronto, since they were only available in the USA. This past fall at the CHFA, I was introduced to their other flavours of chocolate honey patty: Almond, Peanut, Ginger (my favourite!), Double Dark, and Pomegranate. My mom also loved the ginger, while my little brother stuck with the mint as his favourite. Each patty is simply made from 3 ingredients and are immune boosting and are touted as being packed with anti-oxidants. The outside shell of the patty is made entirely from 100% cocoa and filled with 100% organic raw white honey blended with natural peppermint oil or natural ginger extract, for example. They are organic, fair-trade, kosher, dairy-free, gluten-free, non-gmo project certified.
Their raw honey is also awesmazing – I really enjoyed it on my recent vacation to the USA in my breakfast oatmeal!
Whether you are looking for a good organic sweetener or a delicious snack, Heavenly Organics has your back!
Hopefully they will be widely available in Canada soon. When you buy the patties, make sure to stash them in the freezer and eat them right out of there. Trust me!
